Chancellor's Greeting

Welcome to the web site of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a public, student-centered university where teaching and learning are genuinely valued.

I am proud to be associated with an institution where faculty and staff truly care about students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college, and take the time to serve as mentors.

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has a strong and ambitious strategic plan, Living the Promise. Through our strategic plan, we are committed to the overarching goal of creating a culture of learning that values sustainability, global literacy, engaged leadership, and inclusiveness.

What could be more exciting than a student, perhaps a first-generation college student from a small farm in Wisconsin, traveling to Scotland, or Taiwan, or Kenya, to be immersed in a different culture, to understand the unique differences and striking similarities in people? These are the types of opportunities that are possible here at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Founded in 1874, the University is part of the wonderful River Falls community located in a dynamic region of the great State of Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is a special place indeed, and I hope you take the opportunity to learn more about us and to visit our beautiful campus.
