Benefits of being a Mcnair ScholarsPaid Summer Research Internship at the end of your junior year Paid room and board during your Summer Research Internship Travel to national and regional research conferences Faculty mentor to guide your research Waiver of graduate school application fees and GRE fees Eligibility for graduate fellowships and assistantships up to $40,000/yr A laptop computer for your use during your senior year Seminars and workshops to prepare for admission to graduate school Thinking about graduate school?Each year, twelve to fifteen new undergraduate McNair Scholars are selected for two years of intensive mentoring, specialized seminars, collaborative research, and a paid summer research internship, all of which prepare them for graduate school. McNair Scholars include promising students from groups traditionally underrepresented in doctoral programs and are selected through an application and interview process. Faculty referrals are encouraged.
