My time in and around Scotland was a catalyst launching me into a college experience that is incredibly exciting.  Scotland changed the way I view the world and helped me understand what our culture is like here in the US.  It gives you a different view point of the US when you aren't living in it.  By studying abroad I am convinced that you will learn more about yourself and the world around you.  Coming back from Scotland, I was excited and wanted to have other cultural experiences that my campus offered.  Since I have been back, I have been able to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities that are just on my own campus.

One suggestion that I have for students who are interested in studying abroad is to find cultural clubs on campus and make some friends with international students.  Getting to know the international students who are here studying in the US will be just the start to your very own study abroad experience!
