Dec. 20, 2010--A new series of business courses taught entirely online is rolling out at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2011.
Sponsored by the campus’ Small Business Development Center, the certificate courses are designed for those with no formal business education. The courses, which do not require a high school or college diploma to participate, aim to provide a basic understanding of business principles.
Four courses will be initially offered. Basic Marketing Skills and Basic Finance both begin Jan. 6, 2011. Basic Human Resource Management and Basic Business Law begin on Feb. 10, 2011. In order to qualify for a certificate designating the recipient as a “Small Business Specialist I,” all four courses must be completed.
Each course costs $99. Enrollment ends Jan. 3, 2011. To enroll or for more information, contact Steve DeWald, director of the Small Business Development Center, at email@example.com or call 715-425-0620.
