Oct. 17, 2011-- In honor of National Distance Learning Week and in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Extension, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will host an Open House to showcase the recently launched online Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management degree. The new online degree was designed in response to an anticipated employment growth rate of 18-22 percent in health and wellness related jobs. WHO: Adults who are considering an online degree program
WHAT: The Open House will demonstrate online learning, and answer questions about transfer credits, financial aid and careers in health and wellness management.
WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 9, 6–7:30 p.m.
WHERE: UWRF Hudson Center, 2501 Hanley Road, Hudson. Participants are encouraged to register online for this free event by visiting the website, http://www.uwrf.edu and search “Health and Wellness.”
National Distance Learning Week celebrates the tremendous growth and accomplishments in distance learning programs. According to the U.S. Distance Learning Association, more than 3.5 million college students are currently taking online course and/or earning online college degrees.
