Literati
Literati is founded by the University of Wisconsin's undergraduate English group Madison Undergraduate Society for English (MUSE)
Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at University of Wisconsin-Madison
The University of Wisconsin's first annual conference on language, literature, and the humanities. Literati aims to inquire into the marginalized state of the humanities as a whole. While this conference is mainly literary criticism, we do solicit submissions of creative writing and digital projects. To this end, we hope Literati will invite a discussion of the subjective nature of literary perspectives; in some ways, we are always peering into or from the margins.
Deadline for submissions is January 14th, 2013

6th Annual Wisconsin Science and Technology Symposium
July 22-23, 2013 at University of Wisconsin-Superior
The goal of this annual event is to spark collaboration and partnership among academia and industry, promote interdisciplinary research and offer an opportunity to network with technology entrepreneurs.
Previous symposia have attracted more than 150 participants each year from universities, medical institutions and private industry, and have covered research areas including nanotechnology, sustainable energy, pharmaceutical development, medical devices and tissue engineering.
WSTS 2013 will focus on the establishment of collaborative partnerships to accelerate innovative research.
The event will include presentations from several UW startup companies as well as Wisconsin businesses partnering with UW faculty.
Over 15 UW faculty research presentations will display the depth of high-tech R&D with potential for future economic and job impact.
A Monday evening networking reception aboard the Vista Fleet is designed to help faculty, staff and students commercialize their business ideas.
We are actively recruiting students to attend and participate by presenting their research in the dedicated poster session and experiencing the informative presentations, workshops and networking opportunities that WSTS has to offer.
