UWRF Student Health and Counseling Services

Offers free counseling services to students and have Quit Kits for people trying to quit using tobacco.  Students can call Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls (715-425-6701)  to make an appointment to see a health care provider to discuss options for tobacco cessation.  Students can take the Taxi in River Falls at no cost to and from Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls (715-425-7878). Minnesota Tobacco Quit Line

The QUITPLAN Helpline offers free phone counseling and personalized support to help you quit tobacco. The program is free for people who live or work in Minnesota and who are uninsured or without coverage through their health plans.  You will speak with a Quit Coach who will discuss your tobacco use and create your personalized plan to quit. The EX Plan is a free cigarette quit smoking program based on scientific research and practical advice from ex-smokers.  It isn’t just about quitting smoking. Freedom from Smoking® Online Program

Freedom From Smoking® Online, is a program specifically designed for adults, like you, who want to quit smoking.  This website sets users up in support groups of 8-10 people for 8 sessions. This site is for smokeless tobacco users. Users need a username and password to become “members” of the site. The site itself is a web-based research project website used to evaluate ways to help people quit using smokeless tobacco.
