Shelly joined the Survey Research Center in 2003 as the assistant director. Prior to working at the SRC, Shelly worked as the education liaison for Michigan Government Television. Shelly received her masters degree in adult and continuing education from Michigan State University and her bachelors degree in social science from UW-Stevens Point. Originally from Southwestern Ohio, she has lived in the Pacific Northwest, the Southwest, and the Midwest.
