Wisconsin Agricultural and Natural Resource Sector Labor Survey Reportdocument: 2009 (1/ February 2010)document

The primary focus of this survey was to document the current and anticipated demand for workers in four sectors of Wisconsin’s agricultural and natural resources industries: horticulture, agricultural finance, and forestry. In addition, the survey examined employee attributes, the level of employee wages, benefits, employer-provided training, skills demanded by firms, and bonus practices.  This report is a companion to a previous survey in 2008 that examined the current and anticipated demand for workers in four additional sectors of Wisconsin’s agricultural and natural resources industries: dairy product manufacturing, animal slaughtering and processing, farm supply wholesalers, and bioenergy.

Washburn County Employee Survey Reportdocument (25/ November 2008)

Washburn County employees were asked to complete an on-line survey as part of the County’s strategic planning efforts. The survey was a traditional “strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats” (SWOT) analysis. Strengths and weaknesses refer to internal factors that would help or impede the County’s attempts to achieve its strategic objectives of becoming more effective and efficient. Opportunities and threats are supposed to focus on external trends or events that might help or impede progress toward strategic objectives.

West Central Wisconsin Talent Survey: Summary Reportdocument (4/March 2007)

The Workforce Talent Survey was designed to guide workforce and economic development efforts in the nine county West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development area (Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix Counties). The information is intended to inform existing and potential businesses of the availability of workers, their interest, and talents in order to assist in the effort to attract and retain high-paying, high quality employment opportunities for West Central Wisconsin residents.
