Fraternities and sororities go through a process of member selection referred to as recruitment. Recruitment techniques vary between the men and women, as well as timing of that event and the process by which it takes place.
Fraternity recruitment is coordinated by each chapter and can take anywhere from one week to several weeks over the course of the semester. Informal parties are hosted for men to meet chapter members, learn about the organization and make decisions regarding their initiation processes. For more information, please contact David Schroeder
.
Sorority Recruitment is a process that takes place in the first weeks of classes each fall semester. In this process, potential new members have the opportunity to meet women from each chapter and gather information regarding their organizations.
Chapters also stage informal recruitment throughout the semester. Visit our sorority chapters' web pages to get in touch with each organization!
