The Office of Student Life is currently accepting applications for PEACE Facilitators for the 2013-2014 academic year! Facilitators will have an opportunity to engage in the 5 day Kingian Nonviolence in Conflict Reconciliation Certification program this summer and will provide our campus community with workshops rooted in Kingian Nonviolence philosophy starting in the fall. Outside of the required trainings these roles have a fairly minimal time commitment and no prior facilitation experience is required (Please see the Position Description for more information). Appointment: Academic year 2013-2014 (a nine-month appointment with a tentative start date in late August 2013 and an end date in late May 2014)
Classification: Hourly Paraprofessional
Remuneration: Paid Hourly ($8.50/hour), pay schedule is bi-weekly
Professional Development Opportunities & Expectations: Student Life Interns and Managers engage in team and individual professional development opportunities including shared retreats, training, featured event support and other full staff activities. Student staff is expected to participate in team meetings, advisor meetings, position specific training, professional development, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, each student staff will engage in management of social media and marketing software and systems; ex: outlook. Facebook, campus calendar, axis tv etc. Advising is provided to assist in applying Student Life experiences to future academic and career pursuits.
