Fostering Student Growth

Student Student Conduct & Community Standards (SCCS) promotes student awareness and understanding of their rights and responsibilities as university community members by:

  • Addressing student conduct issues
  • Creating developmental learning opportunities
  • Engaging students in ethical decision-making

SCCS Duties/Responsibilities

  • Administers the UW System code, Chapter 17, the student conduct code, that governs on and off-campus student conduct
  • Receives, responds to, and investigates complaints about student behavior on and off-campus
  • Assists with university medical withdrawals; refers students to services on and off-campus
  • Coordinates the Behavioral Intervention Team (B.I.T.)
  • Advocates for students
