The Society for Undergraduate Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities (SURSCA) is designed to support and encourage students to participate in undergraduate research, scholarly and creative activities (URSCA). Specifically, it has been established to provide funding to support attendance at professional meetings and conferences with or without a presentation of the results from their projects. This program is designed to be inclusive of all fields of study and their respective professional activities, therefore the program is open to students from all disciplines and fields. This means that the program is open to traditional scientific research as well authors, artists and performers engaged in scholarly or creative activities outside the normal classroom environment.
The Fall Gala and Falcon Travel Grants were designed and is administered by the SURSCA, a student organization dedicated to enhancing the culture of URSCA on our campus. SURSCA encourages faculty and students from all disciplines to present their research, and/or creative activity at the annual Fall Gala. All of the UWRF campus including their families, alumni and community members, are invited to attend and view the wonderful undergraduate research that is happening at UWRF. The grant program is designed with student peer-review of the competitive applications as a cornerstone. In addition, this peer-review process is overseen by the SURSCA administrative committee to ensure that this important program is fair and constructive.
Get involved -- undergraduates from all disciplines are invited to join SURSCA!
