Sociology Position Vacancy

Instructional academic staff are needed for the 2014-2015 academic year, with the possibility of renewal for the 2015-2016 academic year. The specific courses needing to be taught include SOCI 300 - Research Methods, SOCI 100 - Introduction to Sociology, and SOCI 210 - Social Problems (course descriptions can be found at https://www.uwrf.edu/Catalog/DegreeRequirements/SOCI.cfm). An ability to teach additional upper division courses within the content areas of Culture and Community and Life Course is preferred, but not required.

The courses to be covered will require presence on campus five days a week as all courses are taught face-to-face. Schedule for fall semester is set, but scheduling of classes is negotiable for spring 2015.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of a master's degree in sociology or related field and have independent teaching experience. Area of interest/specialization is open.

Compensation

$1350 per credit, or higher, depending upon background and experience. A full-time position requires teaching 5 courses per semester, with multiple sections of Introduction of Sociology as part of the course load.
