The program is currently developing as will the duties. Basically, the intern serves as a community service officer with HPD and performs duties such as parking enforcement, court duties and other tasks needed by the dept. the intern also conducts a good amount of ride-alongs to experience the daily duties of the officers.(2006)

You're well informed. No matter what is happening, the officers are giving you feedback on what what is going on. They know you're there and that you're there for a reason. They will try to include you on anything and everything that they can do to try to broaden your knowledge. (2000)
