Ice Climbing

Mom:  "What did you do at school over the weekend?"

You:  "I climbed a frozen cliff face."

Mom:  "You what!?  Why did you climb a frozen cliff face... and how!?"

You:  "With ice axes... because it was too much fun to say no!"

Take it from us at Falcon Outdoor Adventures... this is a really fun conversation to have.  Sign up to go ice climbing with us and we'll set the groundwork for you to have that conversation too!  We'll spend the night in a cabin heated with a wood-burning stove and then hit the ice (literally) all day Saturday.  If that's really not enough to convince you, then maybe the fact that we talked UW Eau Claire's Environmental Adventure Center into joining us for the climbing on Saturday is!  Great as a solo trip as well as a way to meet new friends all facing the same challenges over the weekend.  Either way, we've got an ice axe with your name on it.

Frozen waterfalls, pristine powdered woodlands, and campfires await you in this hardy snowshoe backpacking experience.  Our experienced trip leaders will spill their secrets to staying warm during an overnight stay in Willow River State Park.  Not many people can say they camped in the snow in the woods in the middle of a Wisconsin winter.  Why not join the club?

Leave No Trace

Our natural world is incredible and Falcon Outdoor Adventures wants to keep it that way.  That's why we follow the 7 "Leave No Trace" principles on all of our outdoor trips.  For Earth Day though, we wanted to take it a step further.  Setting the example is only part of the equation - it's time for us to spread the word.  Come with us on Earth Day for an interactive introduction to the Leave No Trace principles that will hopefully open your eyes to the beauty of our backyard and what we can do to help keep it that way.
