Snowshoe Trips

Fee: Free!

Date(s): Sunday, January 25 @ 1:00pm (new students only) and Monday, February 16 @ 2:00pm-5:00pm (all students welcome)

Location: Kinni River Trails

CC Ski Clinics + Trips

Clinic #1: Friday, Jan 30 – 1:00-2:30pm (location:FOA/Campus)  - Trip #1: Saturday, Jan 31 – Kinnickinnic State Park, 1pm-4pm

Clinic #2: Friday, Feb 20 – 1:00-2:30pm (location: FOA/Campus) - Trip #2: Saturday, Feb 21 – Willow River State Park, 1pm-4pm

*Register online by Friday of clinic date at 8:00am *No pre-trip Meeting - info provided on Friday @ clinic

Fee: $15 for UWRF Student -$25 for UWRF fac/staff/guest

Includes 1 hour of instruction at clinic, transportation, gear, snacks, and trip leader

Ice Climbing Trip

Fee: $45 for UWRF Student (includes book)

UW – River Falls Campus Recreation

Canoe-Camp Trip

Registration deadline: Monday, May 4 @ 11pm

Trip Date: Saturday, May 9 - Sunday, May 10

Location: Namekagon River

Fee: $80 for UWRF student, $90 fac/staff/guests

Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Tuesday, May 5 @ 6pm, UC Chippewa River Room   Trip Fee Includes: Includes transportation, canoe rental, gear, three meals, & trip leaders

Description: Come spend a weekend with FOA on the beautiful Namekagon, take a paddle down the river, camp for the night and paddle a bit the next day, scenic campsite and great sunrise. Pre-registration required. In case of severe weather, participants will be contacted in advance and trip will be re-scheduled or refunded.

Backpacking Trip

Date: Thursday, June 4 – Sunday, June 7

Location: Superior Hiking Trail

Registration deadline:  June 1 @ 12pm

Pre-Trip meeting: June 1, @ 5pm, FOA rental center

Fee: $80 for UWRF student -$90 for UWRF fac/staff/guest 

Trip Fee Includes: transportation, gear, five meals, & trip leaders

Description: Hike and camp along the scenic Superior Hiking Trail, known as one of the five best hikes in the US. Look for scenic views of Lake Superior, waterfalls, forests, and wildlife.

Pre-registration required. In case of severe weather, participants will be contacted in advance and trip will be re-scheduled or refunded.
