UW-River Falls offers social media workshop for businesses

April 13, 2017--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is offering a workshop for any small business owner, manager or solopreneur who is overwhelmed with the need to maintain a social media presence for their business. The "Social Media for Business Workshop" is Wednesday, May 24, at the UWRF Hudson Center in Hudson.

Facilitator Amy Klous will provide guidance on building a social media marketing strategy, creating engaging content to improve reach, and discovering tips and tools to maximize marketing effort.

"You will leave with the skills and confidence to immediately apply what you've learned," Klous said.

With nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, Klous has worked with a diverse range of learners as a marketing consultant and as a university instructor.

Register online in advance of the workshop date while space is available by visiting the UWRF Outreach and Continuing Education website at go.uwrf.edu/ce. Participants should have basic computer skills and bring their own laptop computer or other portable device. Lunch and materials are included in the $399 registration fee. Those who register before May 10 will receive $50 off the registration fee.

This workshop is one of several training opportunities offered by the UWRF Outreach and Continuing Education office. Working in collaboration with community and business leaders, the university is expanding the classes and training available for adult learners who desire advanced skills but do not need college credit.
