UW-River Falls Small Business Development Center serves Polk, St. Croix and Pierce counties

July 21, 2016--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Small Business Development Center offers no-cost consulting services for entrepreneurs and established small businesses in Polk, St. Croix and Pierce counties.

"Business development needs are continuing to grow in the St. Croix Valley and I'm thrilled about the team we have to support continued economic growth in our thriving region," said Danielle Campeau, director of the Center for Innovation and Business Development that houses the Small Business Development Center at UW-River Falls. "The Small Business Development Center is an invaluable resource for entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking to grow their business."

Danielle CampeauDanielle Campeau

Campeau has served as the director of the Center for Innovation and Business Development at UW-River Falls since 2014 when the center was created to leverage university resources in support of economic growth and business development in the St. Croix Valley region. In this role, Campeau promotes a culture of innovation on the UW-River Falls campus through development of initiatives including the Innovation Challenge, a student startup competition. Campeau is also the director of the Small Business Development Center that contributes to economic growth by offering no-cost consulting services for entrepreneurs and established small businesses. Additionally, Campeau will serve as the director of the St. Croix Valley Business Incubator, set to open in May 2017.

Campeau holds a BS in biology and a master of business administration degree from UWRF. Prior to joining the university, she worked at a private healthcare company for seven years in various roles including managing a clinical support department, project management, information management systems, operations and corporate training. Campeau serves on the Board of Directors for the River Falls Chamber of Commerce and the River Falls Economic Development Corporation. She and her family reside in Deer Park.

Katherine FosslerKatherine Fossler

Fossler, a consultant, has experienced business from both sides of the executive desk. After serving as finance and operations executive in the non-profit sector, Fossler started and grew a successful fitness/wellness business. She began putting her passion for business and economic development to work as a business consultant after the sale of her business in 2014. Fossler especially enjoys working with clients on creative problem solving and maximizing resources. She holds a BA in business from St. Catherine University and two human resource certificates (SPHR, SHRM-SCP). She is also a certified Kauffman Facilitator and an active member of the Hudson Rise n' Shine Toastmasters Club. Fossler and her family reside in Hudson. 

 

Julie FronmuellerJulie Fronmueller

Fronmueller, coordinator of external relations and business development, holds a BS in marketing and a master of business administration degree from Boise State University and a master of information and library science from the University of Louisiana-Baton Rouge. Prior to joining UWRF, she was an assistant professor of library science at Colorado State University-Pueblo where she was the library liaison to the Hasan School of Business and the Department of Mass Communication, Outreach and Programming Coordinator and a member of the library instruction team. Fronmueller and her family reside in Ellsworth.
