UW-River Falls Seeks Spring Career Fair Exhibitors

January 5, 2015 -- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is seeking employer involvement for the Spring Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Center on campus. This event will be the first Spring Career Fair held at UWRF with available space for more than 90 employers.

The Career Fair gives students the opportunity to meet and network with potential employers. Students can learn about internship and career opportunities with employers that relate to their current area of study.

Organizations speak highly of UWRF students, stating, "Students are top notch, professional, outgoing, and qualified candidates across the board."

UWRF Career Services offers students a prep session prior to the event and has developed a Career Fair App for iPhone and Android devices. The prep session will feature interactive stations for students to learn about and practice networking, conversing with recruiters, creating appropriate application materials, dressing professionally, and researching attending organizations. The UWRF Career Fair Plus App, available free in the iTunes and Android store, allows students to research companies, filter organizations by majors they are recruiting, and read tips on how to make their Career Fair experience as successful as possible.

UWRF has a reputation for offering quality academic programs in more than 45 degree areas within the four colleges:  the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Professional Studies, the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and the AACSB accredited College of Business and Economics.

Career Fair registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis with an average of 90 organizations attending. UWRF Career Services encourages interested parties to register as early as possible. The registration deadline is Friday, Jan. 30. Registration is $300 through Jan. 16 and $325 beginning Jan. 17.
