New Student and Family Programs

The Department of New Student and Family Programs is committed to providing new students (domestic and international) and their families with the information, resources, and support that is needed during the transition to and through the college experience.

We will challenge and support new students as they engage in UWRF’s intellectual, cultural, and social climate.  Our programs introduce new students to educational opportunities and the social responsibilities that are expected of campus community members.

We also believe that involved and informed parents and family members are an essential resource to new students during their transition to campus and consider them to be valuable partners in encouraging student success.

Announcements:

Transfer and New Student Registration for Fall 2013
One of the first steps to becoming a Falcon is attending a Registration Program. During this one-day program, you'll meet with academic advisors, select courses, register for classes, meet other new students, and learn more about campus resources.

Transfer Student Registration is scheduled for: June 4, 5 and August 29.

New Student Registration is scheduled for: June 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, 18 and August 29.

New Student Move-In
New Student Move-In is one of the most exciting days of your college experience - it is the day you'll begin to make UWRF your new home away from home! New Student Move-In is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2013.

Week of Welcome (WOW)
Week of Welcome provides new students with the opportunity to meet classmates, explore campus resources and learn about life as a Falcon. WOW is scheduled for Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2, for all new students living on-campus and Tuesday, September 3 for all new students living off-campus. No need to RSVP as we are already expecting you!

Family Day
Save the date! Family Day 2013 is scheduled for Saturday, October 19. All students, family, friends, staff, faculty, UWRF alumni, and community members are invited to celebrate with us at this annual event.
