Veteran Services is here to provide assistance to veterans, reservists, national guard, active duty, and family members with education benefits, paper work, community, county, state and federal resources, and transition assistance. All staff in Veteran Services have served in the military.
Applying for benefits
It is important to apply for benefits once you are admitted to UW-River Falls. You need to request certification for each academic semester that you wish to use your benefits by completing a "Request for Certification of Veterans' Benefits (VS CERTF)" form available on the forms link. Please submit this form by email, fax, or delivery to Veteran Services, Room 220 South Hall.
IMPORTANT -- All students receiving either the Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty or Selected Reserve must verify their enrollments monthly to receive payments on WAVE or by calling 1-877-823-2378 and following the prompts.
The Wisconsin GI Bill does not cover all educational costs.
Check with Veterans' Services to determine which tuition/fees are not covered.
