The Welcome Home Crew is a group of enthusiastic students who help with New Student Move-In by welcoming new students, their family members, and supporters to campus.
Welcome Home Crew members can sign-up to help with New Student Move-In on Saturday, September 1, 2012.
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS (Shifts will be 2.5 hours):
*Volunteers may sign-up for multiple shifts.
TRAINING: A mandatory training will occur 30 minutes prior to each Move-In shift in the Kinni Theater in the University Center.
T-SHIRTS: All volunteers will receive a Welcome Home t-shirt at training.
MEALS: Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the food tent on the North side of the University Center. Please plan to eat before or after your shift. We will also have a water cart on campus to ensure that you remain hydrated and healthy during your shift.
HOUSING: If you plan to live in the residence halls and are helping with New Student Move-In, you can move into your room beginning Friday, August 31, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Please check-in at the Department of Residence Life's Central Office (B3 East Hathorn Hall) when you arrive. Failure to attend training or your assigned move-in volunteer shift will result in a $20 Early Arrival Fee charged to your University Account.
