Grant and workshop activities are important components of the Modern Language Department, whether internally or externally funded. Below are recent grants and workshops administered by Modern Language Faculty and staff:

Department of Education UISFL Grant for Infusing Asian Studies into the Curriculum

This ongoing Grant was complemented by a workshop offered from September 30 - October 2, 2010 on the UWRF campus, entitled, "Culture, Counter-Culture and Modernity: A Faculty Development Workshop on Infusing East Asia into the Undergraduate Curriculum"

Two Spanish Masterpieces and La originalidad artística de "La Celestina:"
An International Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of María Rosa Lida's Work

Spanish Professor Terrence Mannetter participated in this international Symposium from April 15-18, 2012 at the University of Wisconsin Madison campus.
