This library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. government documents. Public access to federal government documents is guaranteed by public law.
The Chalmer Davee Library was designated as a Federal Depository Library in 1962. Through the Federal Depository Library Program the library serves the federal government information needs of the students, staff and faculty of the University of Wisconsin- River Falls, the 3rd Congressional District of Wisconsin, residents of Wisconsin and the surrounding St. Croix valley.
Printed and electronic materials are accessible during all hours the library is open to the public. Any person may use these resources. Public workstations provide for viewing and printing of materials, but ancillary programs, such as Word, are available only to the students and staff of UWRF. All users must supply their own paper when printing.
