The University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF), a member of the University of Wisconsin System, is located on the eastern edge of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area in scenic west central Wisconsin. Location: This position is located in the Chalmer Davee Library at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Salary: Starting salary is $15.106 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A six-month probationary period is required. The pay schedule/range is 02-11, and the position is not represented by a bargaining unit. This position will be required to work until 9:00 p.m. one evening per week during fall and spring semesters (the day of the week and the start time will be determined at time of hire). The work schedule for the other weekdays will be 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for a total of 40 hours per week.
Job Duties: This position is a 100% appointment in the Reference Department under the general supervision of the Head of Reference Services. The employee's primary responsibilities include managing all activities of the library's interlibrary loan service; utilizing computer systems to perform interlibrary loan processes; overseeing policies and procedures related to interlibrary loan; participating in public service activities; collecting statistics related to interlibrary loan for departmental reports; and serving as a lead worker of student employees.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of library public service functions, including reference services and interlibrary loan and integrated library systems, including online public access catalog functionality. Effective organizational, customer service, written and oral communication skills is required. Must be able to take initiative, complete projects in a timely manner, and work effectively in a collaborative environment. Candidates will have effective lead worker techniques and be proficient in the use of word processing (preferably Word), spreadsheets (Excel), email, and Internet.
