The University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a member of the University of Wisconsin System, is located 30 miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul in scenic west central Wisconsin.  Year round arts, cultural and recreational events are easily accessible.  UW-RF’s 6,700 undergraduate and graduate students pursue degrees in four colleges:  Arts and Sciences; Education and Professional Studies; Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science; and Business and Economics. The University provides an excellent environment for learning, emphasizing the importance of faculty-student interaction in classrooms, laboratories, academic advising, and co-curricular activities.  A favorable student-faculty ratio affords opportunity for meaningful interchange between faculty and students.  Strong interests in teaching, research and community service are highly valued.

The Department of Accounting and Finance at the College of Business and Economics, and the University of Wisconsin River Falls, AACSB International accredited, is seeking a tenure–track accounting faculty at the Assistant Professor level starting August 2013.
 

The Position:
Teach introductory financial and managerial accounting courses at the undergraduate level and managerial accounting at the MBA level, develop curriculum and assessment, maintain an active research agenda in accounting, advise upper-level majors, and provide service to both the university and the profession.

Qualifications:
•    Education: Doctorate in accounting from an accredited institution (ABD with confirmed completion date prior to start of employment will be considered). 
•    Teaching experience: Evidence of teaching effectiveness (most recent student evaluations and peer observations)
•    Research: Demonstrated commitment to scholarly activities that result in peer-reviewed publications

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Ability to teach auditing, intermediate accounting, and/or tax courses
•    Experience or interest in writing and submitting grant requests.
