The University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a member of the University of Wisconsin System, is located 30 miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul in scenic west central Wisconsin. Year around arts, cultural and recreational events are easily accessible. UWRF's 6,700 undergraduate and graduate students pursue degrees in four colleges: Arts and Sciences; Education and Professional Studies; Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science; and Business and Economics. The Position:

This position plays an important role in the implementation of the University's institutional marketing successful candidate will join an experienced Admissions Staff in reaching out to prospective students and their families with information about the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop, carryout and monitor a recruitment plan for the admission of multicultural students to UW-River Falls
  • Organize, implement and evaluate appropriate special visit programs for targeted groups of students
  • Advise prospective multicultural students of admission requirements, policies and enrollment procedures
  • Represent the University at high school and two-year college visits, education fairs and outreach events
  • Assist with the new student scholarship program.

Qualifications (Required):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of one year experience in higher education
  • Currently have or be able to obtain a valid Driver's License prior to employment
  • Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and ability to contribute to the University's
  • Commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Previous experience working with multicultural recruitment.
  • Previous experience working in Admissions/Marketing
