Sign Housing Contract

Sign Contract ASAP: Current and future students may log into the Housing and Meal Plan Portal to sign the "Housing Fall 2013 - Spring 2014" contract, and to request a roommate. To increase the chances that you will receive your room and roommate of choice, we strongly recommend signing this contract now and choosing your roommate ASAP, prior to the beginning of January room sign-up (see below).

Seniors Graduating December 2013: If you sign a "Housing Fall 2013 - Spring 2014" contract, your contract is considered completed in full once you graduate in December. You will receive a refund of your housing deposit (minus the $25 non-refundable service fee).

UWRF Students Currently Living On-campus - Choose a Room

You will be provided with detailed email and mail correspondences from Res Life regarding how and when to choose a room for Fall 2013. It is important to sign your contract before room sign-up begins to increase the likelihood that you will receive your preferred room and roommate.

Phase 1: South Fork Suites Rooms (Jan 29 - Feb 13, start 8 a.m., end 11:00 p.m.)

• Stage 1, Jan 29: Residents currently in a SFS room can sign-up to keep their same bed for Fall 2013.
• Stage 2, Feb 5-6: Residents currently in a SFS room can sign-up to move to beds remaining open in SFS.
• Stage 3, Feb 12-13: Residents currently living anywhere on-campus who are eligible to live in SFS may sign-up for beds remaining open in SFS. 
• SFS Wait List: If you are unable to reserve a SFS room during one of the above three room sign-up stages, students eligible to live in SFS may request to be on the SFS Wait List by emailing reslife@uwrf.edu (please include your Student ID in that email).

Phase 2: Ames Suites Rooms (Feb 15 - Feb 19, start 8 a.m., end 11:00 p.m.) 

• Stage 1, Feb 15: Females currently living on-campus who are eligible to live in Ames may sign-up for a bed in Ames.
• Stage 2, Feb 19: Males currently living on-campus who are eligible to live in Ames may sign-up for a bed in Ames. 
• Ames Wait List: If you are unable to reserve an Ames room during the two room sign-up stages above, students who will be first year sophomores at the beginning of Fall 2013 may request to be on the Ames wait list by emailing reslife@uwrf.edu (please include your Student ID in that email). 

Phase 3: Hathorn Hall Rooms (Feb 21 - March 1, start 8 a.m., end 11:00 p.m.) 

• Stage 1, Feb 21: Residents currently living in a Hathorn room may sign-up to keep their same bed for Fall 2013. 
• Stage 2, Feb 26: Residents currently living in a Hathorn room may sign-up to move to beds remaining open in Hathorn.
• Stage 3, Feb 28-Mar 1: Residents currently living in any hall on campus may sign-up to move to beds remaining open in Hathorn. 

Phase 4: All Halls, Except SFS & Ames (March 5 - May 17, start 8 a.m., end 11:00 p.m.)

• Stage 1, Mar 5-6: Residents currently living in any hall on campus (except SFS, Ames and Hathorn) may sign-up to keep their same bed for Fall 2013.
• Stage 2, Mar 8: Redirected Students who live in a room that will not be available for Fall 2012 may sign-up to move to beds remaining open in any hall (except SFS, Ames and Hathorn). You are not considered "Redirected" if you live in a first year or learning community wing. "Redirected" students will receive an email stating that they are redirected.
  
• Stage 3, Mar 12-13: Residents currently living in any hall on campus (except SFS, Ames and Hathorn) may sign-up to move to a bed remaining open in their current hall. 
• Stage 4, Mar 15-May 17: Any Hall/Room Swap - Residents currently living in any hall on campus (except SFS and Ames) may sign-up to reserve beds remaining open in any hall. Students already booked for a Fall 2013 room may swap/move rooms and roommates during this phase.
  

Phase 5: Off-campus Students (March 22 - May 17, start 8 a.m., end 11:00 p.m.) 

• Mar 22-May 17: See below explanation, students currently living off-campus may sign-up for beds remaining open in any hall (except Ames and SFS).

New Incoming and Transfer Students - Choose a Roommate

Choosing a room: New incoming and transfer students for Fall 2013 do not choose their room for their first semester at UWRF - the department of Residence Life will assign those students to a room.

Choosing a roommate: Note that new incoming and transfer students may request a roommate. Although we will make every effort to honor all roommate requests that are mutually accepted, based on occupancy rates and individual circumstances, we cannot guarantee that all mutually accepted requests will be honored.
