Dr. Stephen Feinstein's vast personal book collection is now available to the public. We are grateful to Dr. Feinstein's family who generously chose to donate this amazing collection. Most books in the collection can be sent to individuals who are unaffiliated with UWRF through regular interlibrary loan channels. If interested, contact your local  library. Details here

Dr. Betty A. Bergland's book is now available. Norwegian American Women: Migration, Communities, and Identities, co-edited with Lori Ann Lahlum, was published in May 2011 by Minnesota Historical Society Press. It explores the vital role of women in the creation of Norwegian American communities—from farm to factory and as caregivers, educators, and writers. The 2011 History and Philosophy Banquet, held Friday, April 29, was well attended by alumni, students and department faculty. W. Thomas White, Ph.D. UWRF Instructional Academic Staff, spoke on "James J. Hill and the Presidents: When Big Money Comes to Politics." Our thanks to all who were able to join us this year! More

The fourth annual 2010 Haunted UWRF Tour, held Thursday, Oct. 28, was a well-attended success again this year. Sponsored by History Club. Open to the public, minimal cost. Watch for details on the 2011 event here.

The 2010 Edward N. Peterson Lecture Series event was held Wednesday, Oct. 60. Professor Elaine Tyler May of the University of Minnesota presented, "Security Against Democracy: The Legacy of the Cold War at Home."

Get acquainted (or re-acquainted) with and read articles by Emeritus Professor C. Noble Stockton: "Political High-Jinks" or "Crooked Politicians I Have Personally Known and Exactly What They Did" and "My Last Day at UWRF."
