Exercise and Sport Science

The Exercise and Sport Science major is designed for students who seek careers in a broad range of areas related to exercise and sport science, including:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation

  • Sport Management
  • Corporate Wellness

Students interested in careers such as physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, occupational therapy, chiropractic, athletic training, nutrition and sport management are encouraged to add a pre-professional emphasis, which contains courses required for graduate school that are not included in the Exercise and Sport Science major.

The Exercise and Sport Science curriculum is aligned with American College of Sports Medicine standards.  All Exercise and Sport Science students are required to take an ACSM certification exam in their final semester.  This can lead to a highly valuable national certification.
