Awarded to students who show the greatest potential to become future leaders in our society. Emphasis for selection will be based on demonstrated leadership in, but not limited to: (1) the arts, (2) athletics, and (3) community service. Students must have a first major in CAFES, must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0, must have documented past and present leadership roles/activities and must have a clearly articulated vision of how the applicant will utilize their higher educational experience to enhance their leadership skills/abilities.

Awarded to new freshman with a declared major in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Education, Crop & Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering Technology or Horticulture. Must be active in either 4H, FFA, Ag Club or any other local agricultural-related organization.
Animal Science
Wisconsin Livestock and Meat Council Scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate interest in the animal sciences area, particularly in the production and processing of beef, pork, and lamb. Student may reapply for a WLMC scholarship and be considered to receive it more than one time. Students selected are expected to attend the annual meeting in the year in which the scholarships are awarded.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support to a UW-River Falls freshman student who graduated high school from either Barron or Dunn counties, was in the top quartile of his/her high school graduating class, and has financial need. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding incoming freshman that has demonstrated both academic excellence and leadership ability in school and/or community activities. Students in the upper 20% of their high school class with an ACT composite score of 28 or higher are eligible to apply.

Awarded to an incoming freshman. Student must have graduated from a Wisconsin high school; must be in the top third of their graduating class and must be a resident of the state of Wisconsin. The student must maintain a 3.0 GPA at UWRF (allowing for a one semester probation period with a GPA no lower than 2.75) to remain eligible.

The Brother Royce Keehr Theta Chi Fraternity Freshman Welcome Scholarship
Awarded to a high school senior who will be attending UWRF as a freshman student. Applicants must submit a short one-page essay on why they should be the recipient of the scholarship. All majors are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to a male student.

Sentry Insurance Student Leadership Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming freshman. Student must be in the top 15 percent of his/her high school graduating class and have significant records of co-curricular leadership and outstanding leadership potential with the intent to pursue a degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, and Mathematics (Actuarial Science). Scholarship is renewable for up to four years as long as the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.3 and continues to pursue a degree in one of the above named areas.

Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshman with preference given to applicants from the general Hudson - North Hudson, Wisconsin area, which area includes the towns of Hudson, St. Joseph and Troy. Falcon Scholars Scholarship
Based on academic performance and leadership qualities, select students will be invited to apply to become a Falcon Scholar. Scholarships are $1,000.00 for the freshman year and available for an additional three years. These scholarships include a $2,000.00 stipend that may be used for undergraduate research or to study abroad during your junior or senior year. Must be majoring or minoring in Conservation, Environmental Science or Community Planning. Must be an incoming freshman. Must be a graduate of the River Falls High School and a resident of River Falls, WI. Preference given to customers of the River Falls Municipal Utilities Company.

Awarded to a transfer student (a student who has completed some portion of their undergraduate work at another institution and is new to the UWRF campus in the fall of the year in which the scholarship is awarded) to UW-River Falls. First preference should be given to a student who intends to major in sociology. Second preference should be given to a student who intends to major in psychology.

Awarded to incoming freshman who intend to major in chemistry. Selection is based on high school academic record (i.e., SAT/ACT score, class rank, etc.). Spring installment of the scholarship is contingent on continuation as a chemistry major and good academic standing.
Elementary Education
James Elmer Holmes Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman students majoring in elementary education. Students must demonstrate ability to contribute to the diversity of the campus community through extracurricular activities, work history, community activities, and life experiences. Must have financial need. Scholarship is renewable for up to four years contingent upon achievement of a freshman GPA of 2.5, sophomore GPA of 2.75, and junior GPA of 3.00 at UWRF.

College of Education and Professional Studies Merit Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming student with a declared major with the College of Education and Professional Studies. Student must be of a underrepresented minority.
Selection will also be determined on factors including: class Rank, ACT/SAT/GPA, significant academic accomplishments in high school, financial need as determined by Financial Aid Office and FAFSA
Recipients are eligible to receive the scholarship for a maximum of five years. In order for the scholarship to be renewed, recipients must be enrolled full-time (12 credits) each semester and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
