Geology
Anoka County Gem and Mineral Club Scholarship
Awarded to students who have attained sophomore, junior or senior status with at least two semesters of school remaining, majoring in Geology with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. During the academic year each student recipient must write a short one-page article for the ACG&MC newsletter or give a brief fifteen-minute presentation on some aspect of geology at an ACG&MC meeting.

One scholarship will be given to a student majoring in Environmental Science, Conservation or Community Planning with priority consideration given to a senior with a Hydrogeology minor. Must have attained senior (90 or more completed credits) class status. Preference will be given to those volunteering or working with the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust during their senior year.
One scholarship will be given to a student completing pre-veterinary coursework and intending to enter a school of veterinary medicine upon leaving UW-River Falls. Must have attained junior or senior (60 or more completed credits) class status.

Awarded to students who show the greatest potential to become future leaders in our society. Emphasis for selection will be based on demonstrated leadership in, but not limited to: (1) the arts, (2) athletics, and (3) community service. Students must have a first major in CAFES, must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0, must have documented past and present leadership roles/activities and must have a clearly articulated vision of how the applicant will utilize their higher educational experience to enhance their leadership skills/abilities.

Preference given to a sophomore (30 credits at the beginning of the semester for which the award is made). Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to academic excellence over financial need. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years if the student meets the following criteria: Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, remain in the major and complete a minimum of 30 credits per year.
