 Areas of Specialization:

Sergio Valverde specializes in political theory and philosophy, and comparative politics. His research and teaching interests in political theory include history of Western philosophy and political thought, 19th and 20th century German philosophy, Latin American and Spanish thought, and Marxism. In comparative politics, my interests are in Latin American and Spanish politics, Latino politics in the United States, political economy, party theories and political parties around the world, and United States-Latin American relations.
