Brad was the department’s developmental psychology specialist. He taught a wide variety of courses including Child and Adolescent Psychology, Adulthood and Aging, The Exceptional Child and Sex Differences, Gender Roles and Sexual Orientation. He was as active scholar with numerous presentations (including many with undergraduates). He was also known for his authorship of a variety of books and materials, the majority of which were ancillary resources (e.g., test-banks, study guides, instructor’s manuals) designed to improve instruction in General Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Social Psychology courses. During his years at UWRF, Brad transitioned from the classroom into administrative roles, serving as Department Chair, Assistant Dean, Associate Dean and ultimately Dean of the College of Arts and Science (2009-2017). Brad was recognized for his efforts both in and out of the classroom. Accolades include being honored as the Outstanding Teacher in the Social and Behavioral Sciences (1995-96 & 2006-07), the UWRF Distinguished Teacher of the Year (1996-97), the UWRF Advisor of the Year (2003-04) and the University of Wisconsin System Regent’s Teaching Excellence Award winner (2005). Brad retired from UWRF in 2017 and currently serves as the Provost – Vice President for Academic Affairs at Birmingham-Southern College.
