Innovative Teaching Initiatives

Wisconsin Teaching Fellows/Scholars (WTF/S)

Two participants represent UWRF in the UW-System program. Each participant will complete a teaching and learning project during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Evidence Based Teaching Fellows (EBTF)

Up to five individuals will be chosen to work together and with the EBTF Coordinator to investigate an issue of particular interest or concern with respect to teaching and learning. Each participant will choose their own area to investigate, with guidance and support from the coordinator. Examples might include: classroom climate, information literacy, online teaching, writing assignments, flipped classrooms, etc. Meetings will begin in October and run through May.

Online Course Redesign (OCR)

Provides individual support to faculty members who are redesigning a significant portion of an existing online course.

OCR will not be offered during spring 2017.  We anticipate that it will be available for fall 2017.

A semester long program that provides individual support to faculty members who are redesigning an existing face-to-face course for online delivery.

Faculty College

Four faculty members will be selected to participate in the four-day Faculty Development experience focused on teaching and learning.

GREAT Falcon STEM Fellows

Work closely with STEM Mentors during Spring and Summer in the development of active-learning strategies for one of their course offerings in Fall. Course Development must occur during Summer 2019.
