The Faculty and Academic Staff Development Board has several responsibilities across the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus:
Promotes, fosters, and supports faculty and academic staff development on the UWRF campus
Makes decisions regarding the allocation of the faculty and academic staff professional development awards and informs Faculty Senate, Academic Staff Council and Provost/Vice Chancellor of those decisions
Monitors faculty and academic staff development program budgets and administration procedures
Drafts changes in faculty and academic staff development program policy and gains approval for changes through UWRF Faculty Senate
Organizes faculty and academic staff development program evaluation efforts
Offers consultation to individual faculty and academic staff members regarding their ideas and possible components appropriate to their ideas, appropriate sources of funding, improving denied requests to better assure future funding
Determines membership and overseas operation of the five standing committees
Solicits additional reviewers from the Faculty Senate Executive Committee and the Academic Staff Council to assist in the evaluation of proposals as needed
Serves as liaison with UW-System Office of Professional and Instructional Development
