Environmental Education

This online course meets Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Environmental Education requirements for teachers from other states seeking Wisconsin Certification. Topics include local, national and global resources and issues, and practice in teaching these topics at all grade levels and involving students in working to improve the environment. Using a skill based text by David Burns, this course teaches practical methods of helping students and others re-frame thinking to increase motivation, mental health and positive self-esteem.  Dr. Burns is a renowned psychiatrist whose books are highly recommended by health professionals.  The course meets many of the standards for WI licensure. Classroom Management Techniques

This course gives practical strategies and a method of classroom management that you can incorporate into your teaching style, classroom and life.   The course uses the text Teaching With Love and Logic by Fay and Funk and also meets numerous standards required for WI licensure.
