Permaculture Design Certification Course

Offered by Midwest Permaculture in conjunction with the St. Croix Institute for Sustainable Community Development.

During this eight-day (72-hour) design certification course, you will learn how to use permaculture design to:

  • Enhance small-scale farming and suburban/urban food production
  • Transform back yards, city lots, rooftops and community commons areas into bountiful (& beautiful) gardens
  • Enhance a farming business  to be economically profitable, socially responsible and environmentally sound
  • Minimize work and reduce fossil fuel requirements for an energy-lean future

Upon completion of the eight-day course, you will be eligible to receive their permaculture design certificate (PDC) from Midwest Permaculture.

Course Content

Your registration fee of $1,200 includes the following:

Save with These Discounts:

Early Bird Rate - Save $100 when you register before April 8, 2012.

Student Rate - Save $300 if you are a college student with a valid student ID.

Group Rate - Save $100 each when you register two or more individuals at the same time. May not be combined with student rate.

Accommodations, Transportation and Meals

Students interested in on-campus housing may request dorm rooms through their registration with Midwest Permaculture. Off-campus lodging will be the student's responsibility.

Transportation to and from the UW-River Falls campus will also be the student's responsibility. The pre-training website may be used to facilitate ride-sharing arrangements among students. On-campus parking will be available and is included in the fee.

Lunch will be provided for each full day and dinner will be provided for the three days when the class goes beyond 6 p.m. Other meals, including breakfast will be the responsibility of the student.
