UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
I grew up in the small town of Westby, WI. It's a place where everybody knows your name (cue the Cheers theme). It may be the reason I was attracted to UW River Falls. I began working here in February of 2002. Prior to this post, I worked as a broadcast engineer for the Clear Channel Minneapolis Radio Group and WQOW-TV 18 in Eau Claire, WI.
I didn't dream of becoming an electronics guru when I was a kid. I wanted to be a lawyer, then a doctor. When I left for college, I decided to be a music teacher. But that's life. I recall the words of the great philosopher Lennon: "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans."
I didn't give up on music completely. I still actively participate as a musician in community groups. I am a published music composer and arranger. I have a variety of other interests and hobbies, and they keep me grounded in the roots of who I am and where I came from.
I live in River Falls with my wife Gina and our daughter Molly Anne. I look forward to serving on this council and working in the best interests of our classified staff and the university.
