The CHILD Center

Student Employment

Student Assistants

Our program practices a play-based curriculum with an emphasis on nature and social emotional development. A planned, prepared environment is the structure for the learning experience that is available to the children. A balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities is provided to characterize the learning-through-play philosophy.

The CHILD Center is a component of Student Affairs and The College of Education and Professional Studies at UWRF. The childcare is licensed by the State of Wisconsin and serves children six weeks through 10 years of age.

This position provides opportunities to support a positive and supportive environment for all children with a focus on social and emotional development through a play based environment. All student assistant positions support the classroom teacher through executing lessons, assisting with guidance and supporting the needs of all children.
