About The Event: The Teacher Candidate Professional Development Day is provided once each semester for education majors who are student teaching that semester. The College of Education requires student teacher attendance at the event. 

Some features of the event include:

  • Mock interviews with real hiring administrators.
  • Visit help stations to receive assistance with resumes, cover letters and WCEA information.
  • Guest school administrators speak on topics relevant to new teachers in our "Panel of Experts".
  • Informative sessions and round-table discussion options with professionals.

Mock Interview Information

Mock interviews are conducted by real hiring administrators from area school districts.

  • Come dressed professionally to interview
  • Multiple paper copies of your resume (at least 3 copies)

NOTE: If you did not sign up for a mock interview at the first student teacher meeting, and you would like to sign-up, please call Career Services at (715) 425-3572 prior to the day of the Student Teacher Day to be added to the schedule, if openings are available.
