Technical Director

This is a part-time position for the 2014-15 academic year. Dates: 9/08-12/08/2014  and  1/26-5/08/2015   

Requirements: Qualified candidates will work under the direction of the Faculty Designer in coordinating and facilitating set/properties construction for all productions for University Theatre and Dance. – Theatre (2) One Acts (1) and Dance (1)   

Duties will include: Training, safety oversight and supervision of students working in the scene shop. Serve as master carpenter on special construction and technical projects. Order materials and maintain budgets for productions. Maintenance of the equipment and facilities.  Assist with lighting and sound for productions. Supervise the run crews for productions as needed.   

Scenery and/or Lighting Design opportunities are available. Salary commensurate with experience and duties.   

UW – River Falls has a 300-seat Proscenium Theatre and a 100-seat Black Box. The University of Wisconsin – River Falls is located 27 miles from Minneapolis / St. Paul with a student population of 6500.
