Among 2013 graduates, those who took part in an internships, had a distinct advantage over their peers in terms of job offers and starting salary. The College of Business and Economics strongly encourages its students, who have completed the necessary prerequisites, to consider an internship.
63.1 percent of paid interns received at least one job offer, while only 37 percent of unpaid interns and 35.2 percent of those with no internship received at least one job offer.

The median starting salary for new grads with paid internship experience was $51,930, while new grads with unpaid internship experience was $35,721 and new grads with no internship experience was $37,087.
