Upper Level Admission Requirements

For formal admission to CBE, an admission application must be completed and returned to the CBE Office (124 South Hall) by March 1 for summer or fall admission or by October 1 for spring admission.

All requirements must be completed, or in progress for completion, during the semester preceding admission.

Formal admission to CBE will allow you to register for upper division courses in your major. You will receive written notification regarding the decision of your application.

Admission applications are available in the CBE Office (124 SH), on the 1st floor bulletin board outside 124 SH, or on the right sidebar.


Requirements for ALL majors

Completion of at least 27 required general education credits with a minimum GPA of 2.25.

Students with general education GPAs between 2.0 and 2.25 may petition to the CBE Assistant Dean for consideration on a case-by-case basis.

Upper-Level Transfer Course Policy

Undergraduate students majoring in Accounting or Business Administration may not transfer more than six credits of 300/400 level courses from non-AACSB accredited programs and institutions into the major.



CBE Global Perspective Graduation Requirement

(Starting with the 2011-2012 catalog year)

In preparation for working in a competitive international environment, all CBE majors must complete at least one global perspective experience, for example,

  • Attendance at an international event or speaker on or off campus.
  • Educational travel outside of the United States.
  • Study of a second language.

Each CBE student must submit a one-page summary in LiveText (e-portfolio) describing and reflecting on the international experience before applying for graduation. Each CBE student must also complete a course for the UWRF Global Perspectives requirement and submit a short reflective paragraph in LiveText.
