The College of Business and Economics consists of programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science & Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing. We also have a Master of Business Administration program and an Adult Degree Completion Program.

The College allows students to combine a high quality professional program with a solid liberal arts foundation.

David Swensen speaks to ECON 205 students.

Swensen, David

David Swensen, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Yale University and a member of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board, visited the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Monday, Dec. 12.

Swensen graduated from UW-River Falls in 1975 with a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science degrees. He earned a master of arts and master of philosophy degrees and a doctorate from Yale University, where he studied with James Tobin, a recipient of a Nobel Prize in economics. 

Swensen was named a UW-River Falls Distinguished Graduate in 1996 and was awarded an honorary doctorate by UW-River Falls in 2008.  He was also the CBE Executive in Residence in October, 2005.
