Scholarships for CAFES Continuing Students

Qualifications:

  • CAFES Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors (who will graduate in December of 2013) may be eligible for a number of scholarships.

  • Your first major must be in CAFES.


Application Process:

  • Complete, print and sign the CAFES Scholarship Application.*

  • Return your application form to the CAFES Dean's Office (210 Ag Science).
    Scholarship Deadline: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2011

  • Only one (1) CAFES application form is necessary to be considered for all CAFES scholarships.

The following scholarships have special eligibility requirements:

  • Central Livestock Association Scholarship
    Applicants' family is a member or customer of the Central Livestock Association.
  • Mel H. Cohee Conservation Leadership Scholarship
    Applicant must be a member of the UWRF Crops and Soils Club
  • Wisconsin Cranberry Growers Association
    Preference given to a student who has been personally involved or has family members who involved in the production/processing cranberries as an agricultural crop.

*Please be sure to indicate if you qualify for any of the above scholarships on your application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: UWRF Scholarships

University-wide general scholarships are listed on the Financial Aid web page. 

These scholarships are available to all UWRF students, regardless of major. Please follow the instructions and use the eSIS scholarship application process. The application process for 2012-13 scholarships will begin around January 1 (dates will be finalized during fall semester). The deadline includes the submission of any requested supporting letters of recommendation as well as the online application.

CAFES Incoming Freshmen Scholarship Opportunities

To be considered for all scholarships as new student for Fall 2012 you must be admitted by January 13, 2012.

It's easy! Just complete your Admissions Application and you're set! No additional scholarship materials are required.

Your Enrichment Statement, Additional Statement and Activities from your application are used in the scholarship decision-making. Please describe in detail academic recognition and extra-curricular activities in high school (i.e., arts, athletics, 4-H, FFA, volunteer work, community activities).
