Student Support Services is a project designed to help students maximize their academic potential and achieve their academic and personal goals. Our program provides the encouragement, information, and positive support that make our offices a "home away from home" for our students.

Priority is given to students who meet two of the following criteria
A first-generation college student
Any student whose parent/guardian did not receive a bachelor's degree.
A student whose family meets federal income eligibility guidelines. Students are encouraged to apply even if you believe your family doesn't qualify.
A student with a disability
You are considered a student with a disability if you have verified documentation on file with the Student Ability Services Office. For more information, contact Student Ability Service at 715-425-0740.
Acceptance into the program is contingent upon meeting eligibility criteria and space availability.
Student Support Services is funded by a federal TRIO grant in the total amount of $292,337 for the 2014-15 program year. This funding accounts for 100% of the project's total costs.
The project is funded by the United States Department of Education under the Title IV Higher Education Act of 1965 and serves 200 eligible students at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
By providing key services, SSS improves the retention and graduation of the students it serves. Services are free to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who meet eligibility guidelines, as determined by the U.S. Department of Education.
