Horse Breeding at UW-River Falls

At UW-River Falls, we've developed a successful breeding program where students learn to collect stallions, package semen, foal out, and breed mares. They have a unique opportunity to work with internationally respected stallions like Skeets Peppy.

CAFES re-established the breeding program in 2005 through the generous support of the Wisconsin Agricultural Growth Foundation and many supporters in the equine industry.

Our goal is to provide a unique educational program for our students, while producing top quality performance horses. We are supported solely by donations and revenues received from sale of foals and breeding services.
