Course Description: This two-day course provides an in-depth review and training session for pasteurizer operator.
Topics to be covered include:
- Definitions
- Raw milk microbiology including pathogenic organisms
- Time and temperature relationships
- Vat and HTST pasteurization components
- Recording chart information
- Required/recommended placement of seals
- What to do in the event a seal is broken
Upon completion of this refresher course a challenge exam will be given. Successful completion of the exam will meet ATCP 80.40, Wisconsin Administrative Code for trained pasteurizer operator personnel.
